Good morning, families,
Thank you to everyone who participated in our recent School Council election. We received well over 200 votes, which is an incredible turnout and a clear reflection of the strong investment we have in our school. While most votes were cast digitally, over 30 paper ballots were submitted in person during Open House, after which voting officially closed.
I am pleased to welcome Carrie Love and Jeannie Albrecht as our two new parent/caregiver representatives. They will each serve a three-year term on the council. I also want to thank all the candidates who put their names forward to serve our community.
In addition to Carrie and Jeannie, our faculty recently voted on two teacher representatives to join the School Council. Also starting a three-year term are Kathleen Igoe and Jessica Casalinova.
As a reminder, the School Council serves as an advisory body to the principal and includes teachers, parents/caregivers, community members, students, and administration. Together, the council develops our annual School Improvement Plan and provides input on the school handbook, budget, and other key initiatives throughout the school year.
Thank you again for your continued partnership and support of Mount Greylock.
Kindly,
Jake
