Hello MG!
Next week on Thursday the 17th, we are planning a whole school rochambeau (rock-paper-scissors) tournament! This is a challenge where everyone starts with one beaded necklace-- and throughout the day people challenge each other to a round of rochambeau, with the winner taking ALL of the loser's beads.
Every player with one or more necklaces MUST accept a challenge!! All willing staff start with a necklace also, but students can't challenge a staff member until they have at least 5 beads on their neck!
Any MG staff member not in a classroom who would like to participate can stop by the library to pick up a necklace anytime Wednesday, or Thursday morning.
No challenges should happen during class time unless a teacher allows it.
After the controversial DUCK challenge of 2024, we have come up with a creative MS solution - we will hold the 7th grade and 8th grade contests entirely during their Wellness blocks. (Thank you Wellness teachers!)
During each high school lunch Mr. Schutz and Ms. Rutz will referee challenges at each table until we have crowned an 9/10 winner and a 11/12 winner. The final four (winners from 7, 8, 9/10, and 11/12) championship will happen Friday during break in the lobby.
If you have any questions-or think we may have missed any logistical details please let us know.
Peppily yours,
Liza and Bridget
