Attention 11th and 12th graders. Wish you had more research experience before college? Sign up for a free research seminar series in the library!

For most majors, research is an important aspect of college academics. Having a grasp on the basics of research is an important part of college-readiness, but research is often not a major focus of public high school curricula.  If you want to be more prepared to handle college-level research, come to a three-part seminar series on research basics (including advanced searching) during Directed Study/lunch on MON May 19th, WED 21st, and FRI 23rd.  The workshops will take place in the library classroom during both 30 min blocks to give you time for guided practice after each lesson. Lunch will be provided! (But you can also bring your own or buy.)

This seminar series will be taught by Joel Bishop, a current senior at Williams College, using an adapted research curriculum that is currently offered to first year students at Williams. It is limited to 12 students in grades 11 & 12; preference will be given to seniors
