JOBS/APPRENTICESHIP
* Berkshire Youth Job Fair | Wednesday April 22nd, 10:00am - 12:00pm
Berkshire Innovation Ceneter at 45 Woodlawn Ave, Pittsfield is hosting this event for local employers to share job opportunities with youth ages 14 - 25 and answer questions. * Early Childhood Education Apprenticeship
Sponsored by a state grant initiative, this apprenticeship program is intended to support high school graduates to pursue early childhood education, training, and work. It consists of a one year commitment and includes paid employment with a local EEC Employer, 2000 hours of mentored training hours, and 150 hours of related technical instruction including CPR and first aid training. Register by completing this online form as soon as possible.
* YouthWorks Summer Work Readiness Program | Application Deadline Thursday May 28th
Youth Works provides Massachusetts teens and young adults with their first jobs, leadership development, skills training, and career exploration. Participants of this program must be 14-to-25-year-olds. All program hours are PAID $15.00 per hour. Participants must have their own transportation. * North County Internship Program | Application Deadline Sunday June 7th
This program is administered by the MassHire Berkshire Workforce Board. The program offers an enriching internship with local employers to help students gain essential skills gained through a paid work experience. Applicants must complete a 2 day mandatory course in work readiness training held at MCLA and commit to the five week paid work experience. * Williamstown Spring Litter Cleanup Day | Saturday, April 18, 9am - 12pm
Please join us for a spring Litter Cleanup Action Day! Volunteers are needed to pick up trash along roadways, parks, and riverbanks all across town. Check-in at Field Park or at Bloedel Park anytime between 9 am and noon for instructions and a trash bag. Please wear bright clothes and appropriate shoes and work gloves. Come for an hour or more. * Lanesborough Town Clean Up | Saturday, April 25th, 9:00am – 12pm
All are welcome. Bags and gloves provided. Choose your own spot (roadway or park) or ask for recommendations at sign-in. Dress appropriately and bring your own water. Sign in at Lanesborough Elementary School to receive Community Service Hours and enter a free raffle! HEAVY RAIN CANCELS.
* Sheep to Shawl Festival | Saturday, May 2nd, 10:30 - 3:30pm
The biennial Sheep to Shawl Festival takes place on May 2nd this year, and Williamstown Rural Lands is looking for volunteers! Help with kids crafts, be a parking attendant, work the ticket table, and more! The festival is four hours and we ask volunteers to commit to at least one full hour. And get free attendance!

Mount Greylock Track Team/Meet Volunteers
Coach Gill is looking for students to assist at our home track meets this spring! He’s looking for a variety of help, including score-keeping, maintaining the sand, moving equipment, etc. Please tell him in person if you’re interested in helping this season!
Mass Audubon Pleasant Valley Cleanup Day | Saturday, April 25, 9am - 12pm
Spend your morning helping to clean-up and revamp the sanctuary for spring as part of Mass Audubon’s Statewide Volunteer Day. We will be spreading mulch, removing invasive plant species, weeding key areas, refreshing accessible trails with gravel, and assisting with general trail maintenance.
