Vincent Welch, class of 2024, passed a Board of Review on Friday, May 27, 2022 and was conferred the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. The Eagle Rank will be formally presented in a ceremony on June 19. Vincent began his Scouting career as a Tiger in Cub Scout in Pack 20 and continued on as a Boy Scout in Troop 8 in Pittsfield, MA. Vincent's Eagle Service Project built a Gaga Ball Pit for use at the Lanesborough Elementary School. The pit is made of wood in such a way that it can be disassembled and used outdoors and indoors. Vincent worked with the school’s principal and had all material costs covered via a grant from the Lanesborough Initiative for Excellence.
