Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Gina came to Mount Greylock to join the Class of 2009 as a Greylock ABC (A Better Chance) Scholar.  She graduated from Union College in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and earned her master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering concentrating in automation and control at the Purdue School of Engineering in 2016.

Gina has worked at Eli Lilly and Company, a Fortune 500 global healthcare leader, in several positions, gaining more responsibility at every turn. After working as an automation engineer, a utilities senior instrumentation engineer, and an associate consultant on equipment development projects, Gina has recently transitioned to a team lead engineer role where she manages all contractors while also continuing technical projects. Throughout her career, Gina has acted as a mentor and supporter of young people, women and People of Color exploring careers in engineering.

Gina was originally slated to speak to various student groups in May 2020, but the arrival of COVID-19 canceled those plans.  She was unable to participate in the 2021 GreylockTalks abbreviated sessions; we are looking to bring her back to Mount Greylock now that COVID restrictions have been lifted.

Gina’s visit is supported with funding from the SEE Fund.
