Williams College after school tutoring and academic support programs BEGIN October 1st! SIGN UP NOW! 

The MGRS Library Media Center is the official home of the Williams Center.  School-Based Coordinator and Librarian Liza Barrett facilitates and schedules the programs; inquiries should be directed to her. All Williams Center programs are free, but many require a one-time completion of the ’24-25  WC @ MG Learning Contract by a parent or guardian. 
Programming will begin on October 1, 2024. 

 

  • After-school Homework Help@MG: After-school homework help is available for students in grades 7-9. Williams Fellows work one-on-one or in small subject area groups with students on homework and study skills in all academic areas. This program is supervised by Mrs. Barrett and is offered on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 2:30 - 4 pm (contract required).

  • Free Sunday Evening Tutoring for Grades 9-12: Williams Fellows will run weekly small group sessions with Mt. Greylock students on the Williams campus. Please note: this program is focused on STEM subjects. Sunday evening tutoring begins October 6, 2024 (contract required).

  • Tutoring during Directed Study: Williams Fellows will be available in the library during Directed Study on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays to support students in grades 7-9 in all subject areas. (This program does not require parental permission or contract.)

  • College Essay & Writing Support - Williams students provide free, one-on-one in-person (in the library) and online feedback and coaching to Mt. Greylock students. Schedule initial in-person essay support appointments with Liza Barrett. Follow-ups may occur online. (This program does not require parental permission or contract.)
