Hi MG Students,

I hope you are doing well. This is my biannual reminder to check your Chromebook for updates. The Chromebooks should be receiving auto-updates. However, a manual check for updates is required from time to time. In keeping up with device health and performance, please follow the below instructions. 

1. Turn on the Chromebook.
2. Log in. 
3. At the bottom right, select the time.
4. Select Settings gear icon.
5. At the bottom of the left panel, select About Chrome OS.
6. Under "Google Chrome OS," you'll find which version of the Chrome operating system your Chromebook uses.
7. Select Check for updates.
8. If the Chromebook finds a software update, it will start to download automatically.
9. Restart the Chromebook when prompted.
