Course Selection and Registration Documents.

Course Selection Process

The Principal and school counselors schedule class meetings to review the Program of Study and review the online course selection form with all students. In these meetings, students have the opportunity to ask questions about electives and other matters pertaining to the course selection process. Students are encouraged to discuss course offerings with their parent/guardian prior to registration day. Further, an evening session is scheduled for parents and guardians of new and current students to provide information so that students can make better scheduling decisions.

Teachers are asked to make recommendations electronically, prior to students gaining access to their online course selection form.  Students are encouraged to meet with their teacher if they wish to discuss these recommendations. 

Students will access the online registration form through their PowerSchool account on a designated date. The Counseling Department reviews student requests to ensure selections are in the student’s best interest and consistent with graduation requirements. School counselors then meet individually with all students to review course selections. Students will receive their final schedule in August prior to the start of the school year.
