Homeschooling Education Plan Procedures
Homeschooling Education Plan Procedures
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts gives parents the right to educate children at home, provided that a plan for homeschooling is submitted to and approved by a local Superintendent. Your request to educate your child at home will be reviewed upon submission of a plan providing the information requested below.
It is the intention of the Mount Greylock Regional School District to work with you in support of your desire to educate your child(ren) at home, and we will make every effort to facilitate such a program. Homeschooling should not begin until approval is granted in writing from the Superintendent.
BEFORE THE START OF THE SCHOOL YEAR
At least 14 days before the intended start date of the home school program, submit your home school plan using the form linked below. This should be emailed to homeschool@mgrsd.org.
AT THE END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR
No later than the first week in July
A completed Home Instruction Summary of your child’s progress must be submitted to the District at the end of each academic year using the form below. Email the completed form and any supporting documents to homeschool@mgrsd.org.
